The Tech Story

Headlining the TaylorMade SIM Max fairway wood is the unique multi-material construction that consists of a steel body and a carbon crown. This construction has allowed TaylorMade to precisely position the center of gravity to achieve explosive distance, high launch, and low spin. The SIM Max fairway wood also includes a C300 ultra-strong steel face that delivers exceptional performance and terrific sound and feel. Several other technologies are returning to the SIM fairway woods from previous models. Twist Face technology features a clubface that is slightly twisted in the heel and toe areas to combat those common misses. The Next Gen Speed Pocket has been specially designed for SIM to help with low-face mis-hits. The V Steel sole design, which was first introduced in the mid-2000s, reduces friction through the turf to improve performance from tight or difficult lies.
