Who’s It For
PING did significant market testing solely with junior golfers to develop its new Prodi G line of junior clubs to ensure that it was creating products that would provide optimal performance for players between the ages of 7 and 13. All of the Prodi G clubs that are available, from the putter to the driver, were created with the junior in mind, and significant time was devoted to swing weight, length, and lie angle to help young golfers develop the proper technique to play better golf. Prodi G junior clubs can be purchased individually or in packages ranging from five clubs to 11 clubs, and a Prodi G Hoofer stand bag is included with each package.
The Tech Story
PING’s Prodi G junior irons are traditional cavity back designs, which means weight has been pushed to the perimeter of the clubhead to improve performance on off-center strikes. They have been constructed using 17-4 stainless steel, which is a strong, durable material that will deliver fast ball speeds and a clubface that flexes in a manner that encourages higher launch. Additionally, as is the case with PING’s new i210 irons, a CTP insert has been utilized behind the clubface of the Prodi G junior irons to help promote a softer feel and sound at impact.
