Themulti-material iron produces distance gains of approximately 7-10 yards andimproved accuracy throughout the set. It’s the result of a complex design thatcombines a lower CG with stronger, custom engineered lofts and a thinner facethat delivers up to 2 mph more ball speed – leading to significant distancegains without compromising PING’s famous forgiveness. :p>:p>
Akey contributor to the added distance is the PurFlex cavity badge, aninnovation with seven flex zones that allows more free bending to increase ballspeed across the face. In combination with a lower CG, the badge contributes tothe solid feel and pleasing impact sound. :p>:p>
Amongthe refinements to the overall shape is a shorter hosel, which creates a morecompact, clean look and helps lower the CG, aligning it closer to the forceline to increase ball speed and ensure solid impact, especially low on theface. Approximately 1° of additional bounce throughout the set provides cleanturf interaction and pure strikes, minimizing “heavy” shots that come up short.The high-density tungsten toe and shaft tip weights contribute to its high MOIand produce tighter dispersion patterns. The hydropearl 2.0 chrome finishdelivers consistent performance from wet or dry grass.:p>:p>
