Who’s It For?
The Callaway Apex Utility Wood (UW) is a unique club that boasts tremendous performance, versatility, and shotmaking characteristics. After consulting with Callaway staffers like Phil Mickelson and Xander Schauffele, the manufacturer designed a weapon that offers golfers a wide variety of shots from a wide variety of lies. The Apex UW is ideal for low-handicap golfers seeking a club that offers the best of both wood and hybrid technology.
The Tech Story
One of the first aspects of the Callaway Apex UW that will jump out to golfers is the club’s tour-inspired, compact head shape. Also, the shaft length of the utility wood has been set between the length of a hybrid and a wood, optimizing the performance of the club with relation to distance and accuracy. With over 17 grams of MIM’D Tungsten Weighting, Callaway engineers have perfectly positioned the Apex UW’s center of gravity to create high launch, steep landing angles, and consistent spin numbers. Finally, a unique A.I. designed Flash Face SS21 clubface generates superb ball speed and consistency, even on mishits.
